How it all began
Growing up, my mum would always do my hair for me in all different types of braiding styles. It wasn’t until I got to a certain age that I began to explore and embracing my natural curly hair. When I went off to university I wanted to learn about protective styles for natural hair which sparked an interest in learning how to braid and do it myself.
I began by practicing on myself, my siblings and friends. Not long after this, friends of friends were asking me to do their hair for them too! That’s when FroFoSho became a thing. Braiding is something I find to be therapeutic. It gives me the opportunity to connect and interact with so many amazing people every day. It’s a chance for me to escape the real world and get lost in the art of hair styling. It’s also a blessing to be able to help and advise those that struggle with maintaining their natural hair.
